This article concerns the
macOS
app.

We periodically run betas to trial the next update before it is released to all users. This allows us to ensure that an update meets the quality requirements that users expect of Texifier. We appreciate your help in testing the betas and reporting back to us whether the new feature or bug fix meets your needs.

Please note that beta versions are pre-release versions and as such may only be used to test the app, usually a specific feature or a bug fix that you’ve requested and for which the beta aims to provide a fix.

Depending on the maturity, a beta version may be unstable and hence may not be used for everyday writing of your projects.

If you would like to be part of a future beta, please follow the instructions below.

Subscribe to macOS beta

  • Sign in to www.texifier.com
  • Open https://www.texifier.com/account/settings/beta
  • Choose the beta you wish to be included in, and press Update

Unsubscribe from macOS beta

If you have opted in to betas on texifier.com, please visit https://www.texifier.com/account/settings/beta, uncheck macOS, and press Update. This will ensure we don’t read you to future betas.

Installing the beta version along with the full, released one

The best strategy would be to download this app and call it “Texifier Beta.app” and place it next to the main Texifier.app in the /Applications folder. That way one can switch between them as needed. There will be times when the beta app is not as stable, so having the main released version is strongly recommended.

Betas and the Mac App Store version of Texifier

Please note that the App Store version of Texifier does not provide a beta system as the App Store distribution does not currently support such facility.
